Late in the summer we embark on a family outing along the Côte d'Azur. We visit Marseille and its Vieux Port, the old harbor, where you berth in the heart of the city. Later we visit the famous natural bays of the Calanques and Sanary-sur-Mer.
The aftermath of the Medicane in the Eastern Mediterranean still proves challenging: At the beginning of our fall trip we are blown about by the stormy Mistral and arrive at Isola di San Pietro, off southwestern Sardinia, after passing heavy squalls and wind. The next leg to Tunis is a bit more benign and we relax in exotic Tunisia.
On the way back to Trapani the Sicily Strait meets us with force 5 to 6 winds and waves on the beam. After a short stop we head straight for Bonifacio in southern Corsica. The last leg back to the Côte is much calmer and we enjoy a few last days of warm sun. The crew and the boat are fantastic in these challenging conditions!
